Description of the OrganizationThe Nippon Foundation Human Milk Bank aims to protect the lives and contribute to the healthy growth of infants who are born preterm or with very low birth weight through donor milk.

  • Provide a stable supply of donor milk (pasteurization, storage in medical freezers, and transport to NICUs nationwide)

Mission

Passing a donor milk life baton to babies in need.

We protect the lives of premature infants in need which leads to life-long health as well as peace of mind for their families by providing safe donor milk.
We will contribute to better life-long health of premature infants by establishing a tailor-made donor milk supply system based on donor milk analysis.
We will safeguard more babies’ lives by raising awareness about the milk bank system.

Barrier-free (elevator) route
A 5-minute walk from Exit A3 of Ningyocho Station on Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line, Toei Subway Asakusa Line
  1. Take the elevator on the right side of Exit A3 to the ground level.
  2. After exiting the elevator, turn left and cross the “Ningyocho” intersection.
  3. Continue to walk straight ahead.
  4. Cross the sidewalk just past VIA INN Nihonbashi-ningyocho (hotel) on your left, and the Nihonbashi-koamicho Square Building will be on your left.
  5. The Nippon Foundation Human Milk Bank is on your right as you enter the building.
A 4-minute walk from Exit A6 of Ningyocho Station on Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line, Toei Subway Asakusa Line
  1. Take the elevator from Exit A6 to the ground level.
  2. When you get off the elevator, go right.
  3. When you reach the main street, turn left and follow the road straight ahead.
  4. Cross the sidewalk at the end of VIA INN Nihonbashi-ningyocho (hotel), and the Nihonbashi-koamicho Square Building will be on your left.
  5. The Nippon Foundation Human Milk Bank is on your right as you enter the building.
10-minute walk from Exit B4 of Mitsukoshimae Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line and Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line
  1. Take the exit B4 elevator (Mitsukoshi department store entrance is on your left) to the ground level.
  2. After exiting the elevator, turn to your left and walk along the street, crossing the “Nihonbashi Kitazume” intersection twice to head to the diagonal corner.
  3. Continue to walk straight along the street.
  4. Pass through the “Edobashi Kita” and “Kobunacho” intersections.
  5. Cross the sidewalk at the end of Showa Shell Sekiyu, and the Nihonbashi-koamicho Square Building is on your right.
  6. The Nippon Foundation Human Milk Bank is on your right as you enter the building.
10-minute walk from Exit B12 of Nihombashi Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line and Tokyo Metro Tozai Line.
  1. Take the elevator from Exit B12 (inside COREDO Nihonbashi) to the ground level.
  2. Get off the elevator, turn right and walk straight towards “Nihonbashi” (Nihonbashi-bridge).
  3. Cross “Nihonbashi” and turn right at the “Nihonbashi Kitazume” intersection (do not cross the intersection).
  4. Continue to walk straight along the street.
  5. Pass through the “Edobashi Kita” and “Kobunacho” intersections.
  6. Cross the sidewalk at the end of Showa Shell Sekiyu, and the Nihonbashi-koamicho Square Building is on your right.
  7. The Nippon Foundation Human Milk Bank is on your right as you enter the building.
